The rules for using Kanean. They are short on purpose: the platform is a public space, and it only works if everyone can trust what they find here.
Updated on 26/09/2026
Kanean is a social network of urban events. People report problems and events in public places with a photo and a location; others confirm, comment and follow them; responsible organizations can take them on and handle them. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Kanean. Use your real name or a name people know you by, keep your sign-in details safe, and do not create accounts to impersonate another person or organization. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
Posts, photos, comments and reactions are public and linked to your profile. You remain the author of what you post and are responsible for it. By posting, you allow Kanean to display, reproduce and distribute that content on the platform, on the website and in shared links for as long as it is online. Photograph public places. Avoid showing people’s faces, license plates, documents or the inside of homes.
You may not post, comment or send in a message:
Anyone can report a post, a comment or a user, and block anyone they want: blocking hides content both ways and prevents messages. We review reports within 24 hours. Content that violates these terms is removed, and whoever posted it may have their account suspended or closed, without prior notice in serious cases.
Conversations are private between the people in them, but they follow the same rules. Abusive messages can be reported from the sender’s profile.
Kanean is not a government body and does not provide the services that appear in posts. City halls, utilities and companies that use the platform are responsible for their own service. Posting on Kanean does not replace each organization’s official channels, and Kanean does not guarantee any deadline or outcome.
If a life or someone’s safety is at risk, call 190 (Military Police), 192 (SAMU ambulance), 193 (Fire Department) or 199 (Civil Defense) in Brazil. Kanean does not dispatch emergency services.
You can delete your account at any time in the app Settings. What happens to your data and to what you posted is described in the privacy policy.
When these terms change, the date above changes too, and we announce relevant changes through the platform. Continuing to use Kanean after that means you accept the new version.
These terms are governed by Brazilian law, including the Brazilian Internet Civil Framework (Marco Civil da Internet) and the General Data Protection Law (LGPD).
